When you use Help Scout, contact our support team, or read one of our blog posts, do you ever wonder who’s behind the brand?
If your answer is yes, then you’re in luck — welcome to Help Scout Unscripted, a series where we ask Help Scouts a question and share the answers with all of you.
Today’s question: What TV show(s) are you currently watching?
For those of us in the northern hemisphere, summer is winding down, leaves are changing colors, and the weather is getting cool. Sounds like great conditions for checking out a new TV series!
If you’re looking for some recs, here is what the team has been watching. We’ve included a link to each title’s Rotten Tomatoes page as well as a link to where (in the U.S.) it is currently airing/streaming.
Ok…let’s go!
The Gilded Age (HBO Max) — A true masterpiece 😆
The latest season of Couples Therapy (Paramount+)!! Obsessed with this show.

I've been hooked on the Evil (Paramount+) series. It's supposed to be supernatural (and it is), but it's so goofy and fun, it keeps building on itself, and Season 2 is when it gets really good. Highly recommend.

We just finished watching all 19 seasons of Taskmaster (YouTube) and Murderbot (AppleTV+), and we’re now switching between Foundation (AppleTV+) Season 3, the Great British Sewing Bee (Roku), and The Code of Silence (BritBox).
A little bit of sci-fi, a little bit of crime, and a little bit of low-stakes British competition to keep the balance.

Match Me Abroad (HBO Max), which is about international dating. It’s kind of like a gentler, lower-stakes cousin of my favorite reality show, 90 Day Fiancé (HBO Max).

The Gilded Age (HBO Max). I'm a sucker for any show or movie with cool period costumes!

Pilar
Director of Cloud Security and Data Privacy
I am going to assume at this point that we can include YouTube since some of these videos are basically TV shows. Who has cable these days, right?!
The Unaware Atelier Master (Crunchyroll)
The Ossan Newbie Adventurer (AppleTV+)
From Here to There — Michigan Series (YouTube)
The People's Call Center 2025 (Various YouTube Channels)

I've been re-watching the whole series of ER (Hulu) for the second time. Such a great show (with the occasional cringe since it’s an older show).
I also might need to upgrade my streaming subscriptions to watch the latest Dexter (Paramount+) spin-offs, Original Sin (Paramount+) and Resurrection (Paramount+). I love a good psychological thriller with some dark humor thrown in!

Foundation (AppleTV+) and Shrinking (AppleTV+)!

I think I'm in my Dad TV era (despite not being a Dad). Watched through all of the Bosch shows on Amazon Prime.
Also, Taskmaster (YouTube) 💯

Rewatching Gilmore Girls (Netflix). It's comfort food.

Some new, some a little older. A few are a little tough to watch (violence-wise), though still very good. I would suggest reading some reviews before diving into Adolescence, The Narrow Road to the Deep North, and Seven Seconds to make sure they’re for you!
Adolescence (Netflix) — Excellent but not an easy watch.
The Narrow Road to the Deep North (Prime) — Brutal, brilliant love/POW story.
Murderbot (AppleTV) — Offbeat and quirky, but not a lightweight or throwaway.
Seven Seconds (Netflix) — It is vanishingly rare that a crime story reminds me of maybe the best show ever to be on TV, The Wire (HBO Max). This one does at times.
Acapulco (AppleTV) — Guilty pleasure, but genuinely appealing and not total cotton candy. You did not know you needed Spanish covers of 80s metal tunes (Scorpions, Quiet Riot, etc) sung poolside at a Mexican resort by a duo of lounge singers.

Severance (AppleTV) — For me, it was worth the hype. Even though some of the episodes are excruciating, I feel like the payoff in the end is satisfying!
The Bear (Season 4) (Hulu) — This latest season is the best yet. I cried throughout. Kind of a lot.
Deadloch (Prime) — An absolutely wild ride of a show. It’s an Australian black comedy that somehow expertly blends suspenseful murder mystery with laugh-out-loud humor.
Can’t talk TV without shouting out my two forever faves, always worth a rewatch: Parks and Recreation (Peacock) and Feel Good (Netflix).

Hillary
Director of Content
Worst Cooks in America (Food Network / HBO Max) — A delightful show to turn off your brain for a while and watch people compete while learning to cook.
Big Brother (CBS) — People always ask why we still watch Big Brother. ITS BECAUSE WE CAN’T LOOK AWAY.
Degrassi: The Next Generation (HBO Max) — Feeds our need for a simpler time before life got too complicated (for us; it was very complicated for them).

Rob
Senior Manager Paid Marketing
Ms. Rachel (YouTube) — It’s not for me, but it’s always on our TV…

That’s it from the team! We hope you’re able to find a few ideas for your own watchlist.
As for me, I’ve been splitting my watch time between Wednesday (Netflix), Only Murders in the Building (Hulu), The Paper (Peacock), and kicking off my own annual Gilmore Girls rewatch.
I too, am an autumn.
